I met this brother 16 years ago in person when I opened for him. Been a fan for longer than that. One of the most fiercest voices of our time. Iconic. Legendary. My heart can't comprehend it. I'm feeling some kinda way. I have had only a few inspirations in this thing we call Spoken Word. This is one of them. I usually don't have questions. But Yeah I'm questioning this one right here....Yeah I'm questioning this one for sure. Rest easy my brother. @thelegendaryblackice

Coming Up this Weekend!!!

So I did a thing this past weekend. I was able to spend some time with like minded brothers who engaged in improving their overall mental health. Although I served as a panelist and performance poet, I also understood at this gathering, I also learned quite a bit concerning my mental health, financial wealth, grief, and most of all being understood by a group of my peers. Shout out to Louie, Nicholas, @therapyfirmbp Tero, @iam8020nation @sundiata_imhotep_ferguson @jayspeakslegacy and all of the brothers who helped facilitate this move of God!! Not only being understood by a group of my peers, but understood by a group of young women of God who have understood God's purpose to help men heal during this mental health awareness month for men. I'm so very thankful for @devin_elisse and @auntieerica78 for making it possible for men to come together to engage in one of the most difficult (if not the most difficult) and most uncomfortable things for men to do....be VULNERABLE. There were some tears shedding. We dapped it up and hugged quite a bit as we dealt with hurt, sadness, anger, grief, and trauma that some of us didn't know we had because we're so used to emotionally suppressing our thoughts and feelings. I was honored and privileged to serve as a panelist to pour into the brothers as much information as I can to educate the brothers on exhibiting good mental health. That part of the discussion must've lasted about 2 and half hours or more, which was pretty much the last part of our day at the Men Heal 2026 Conference. So Being that I work in the Mental Health field, and this is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, any brothers need a listening ear, or someone to pour into them some encouragement or positive affirmations, Holla atcha boy!! I gotchu!!!
